Air Force Reserves: Inspiring Purpose for Tomorrow's Fight
More than 300 Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 944th Fighter Wing alongside103 aircraft supported by the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Marine Corps, and the U.S. Navy embarked on a large force, deployment simulation exercise, dubbed Desert Hammer, in southern Arizona, Nov. 2-5, 2023. To prepare and adapt for rapid global shifts and evolving near-peer adversaries, the 944th FW is committed to seizing opportunities to strengthen Air Force operational concepts known as Agile Combat Employment (ACE) and Multi-Capable Airmen (MCA). These tactics emphasize flexibility, adaptability, and the effective utilization of our forces to enhance air power while also improving our ability to operate in dynamic combat environments.
