Smoky Mountain Medical IRT begins

Air Force Master Sgt. Kristie Blumer, a dental assistant assigned to 944th Medical Squadron, Luke Air Force Base, Air Force Reserve, Ariz., cleans a patients teeth during Smoky Mountain Medical Innovative Readiness Training in Hayesville, N.C., on Aug 2, 2017. Smoky Mountain Medical IRT provides no cost medical, dental, vision and veterinary services to the residents of Swain County, Clay County and the surrounding areas while satisfying training requirements for active, reserve and National Guard service members and units.
