Flying hour feat

Upon completion of their mission that day, the team’s flying hours totaled 15,681.8. The 301st FS is made up of reserve pilots who, in association with the 56th Fighter Wing, fly active-duty F-16s and train active-duty student pilots at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. The 75 pilots assigned to the 301st FS are integrated into the 56th Fighter Wing’s six fighter squadrons. On average, pilots in the 301st FS have more than 2,000 flying hours.
