944th Fighter Wing Airman found dead, cause under investigation

A 944th Fighter Wing Airman, who was found dead at his parent’s home in Maricopa, Sunday, Jan. 26, has been identified as Airman Noah Langmead.

Langmead, 19, was assigned to the 924th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Ariz.

"The death of Airman Langmead over the weekend is a tragic loss to the 944th Fighter Wing and the Air Force Reserve," said Col. James Greenwald, 944th Fighter Wing commander. “Our deepest condolences are with the family, friends and co-workers of our member.”

The circumstances surrounding Langmead’s death are under investigation.
