• New target: 5,000 flying hours

    Lt. Col. Eric “Dorf” Ostendorf, 307th Fighter Squadron instructor weapon system officer and special assistant to the commander, stamped his name in the record book for reaching 4,000 flying hours in the F-15E Strike Eagle at Seymour Johnson Air Force, North Carolina.

    The 414th Fighter Group, a geographically separated unit of the 944th Fighter Wing, flew in two F-15 Eagles and three KC-135 tankers filled with Airmen eager for some off-station annual tour training with their 944th counterparts.
