944th Operation Group welcomes new commander, stands-up squadron
LUKE AIR FORCE BASE, ARIZ. – Reserve Citizen Airman Staff Sgt. Sam Strong, 944th Operations Group dedicated crew chief, removes the previous group commander’s name from the flagship displaying Reserve Citizen Airman Col. Brett Comer as the new pilot in command during the 944th OG change of command ceremony, August 6, 2021, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. Comer is now responsible for training F-16 Fighting Falcon and F-35 Lightning II pilots in three squadrons and two geographically separated locations to meet the requirements of combat air forces.
