Staff Sgt. Tyran Lawson, 944th Logistics Readiness Squadron supply section, helps inventory individual protective equipment items June 28, 2016 during Operation Patriot Habu at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa. By the second day of the tour, Citizen Airmen from the 944th LRS helped process more than 3,000 IPE items. They provided extra manpower to their active-duty counterparts with the 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron, who are currently working 12-hour shifts to transition to the Enterprise Supply System which will eventually enable the 18th Wing to issue real-world IPE to its Airmen.
