'Thunder' from under

Ed Hamill, in the Air Force Reserve biplane, flies with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds over Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., March 18. Both the Thunderbirds and Mr. Hamill will be performing at "Thunder in the Desert," Luke's two-day open house and air show this weekend. As the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds perform precision aerial maneuvers demonstrating the capabilities of Air Force high performance aircraft to people throughout the world. Mr. Hamill is an Air Force Reserve lieutenant colonel who serves as an instructor pilot with the 944th Fighter Wing at Luke AFB.
