Armed Forces Night with the Phoenix Coyotes

Staff Sgt. Katherine Ladd, 944th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, is handed a puck at the beginning of a Coyotes hockey game April 2 at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Ariz. The Phoenix Coyotes took on the Los Angeles Kings during Armed Forces Night. Twice a year, the Phoenix Coyotes and the City of Glendale recognizes military members throughout the Valley for their military service. Sergeant Ladd, returned in January from a five-month deployment to Joint Base Balad, Iraq, where she served as a medical technician working in the Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility. While deployed, Sergeant Ladd helped to evacuate the wounded out of Balad to a safer location to receive medical care. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Ronifel Yasay)
