A tearful farewell
The 944th Fighter Wing conducted a special farewell ceremony March 10, 2007, as the 944th Maintenance Group prepares for deactivation on March 31, 2007. As part of Base Realignment and Closure, the 944th Fighter Wing's 17 F-16 Fighting Falcons were reassigned to various units and with that, the maintenance and operations positions were cut.
