A tearful farewell

Tuskegee Airmen were among the distinguished visitors as the 944th Fighter Wing bid farewell to its maintenance personnel and 302nd Fighter Squadron. The Tuskegee Airmen were members of of the 302nd FS during World War II flying more than 15,500 combat sorties and more than 200 bomber escort missions without ever losing a bomber to an enemy fighter.
