Teammates,

In the midst of the COVID-19 situation, the 944th Fighter Wing is committed to taking care of our Airmen and their families and accomplishing the mission.

Based on those priorities and careful consideration, we have decided to reschedule the April UTA for the vast majority of the wing.  This decision keeps us in line with national guidance to minimize unnecessary exposure, without adversely impacting our mission.

Due to mission requirements, the only 944th Fighter Wing personnel who report for April UTA weekend duty will be the absolute minimum 924th Fighter Group members required to fly a reduced schedule.  All other members will reschedule.

We will plan a normal UTA in July and will determine the best way to make up the remaining two days of our previously scheduled super UTA.  All of you will have the opportunity to perform all of your required UTAs for the year.

I have directed your commanders to work with anyone who will incur a hardship by moving April’s UTA pay, and to provide those members a way to earn it in April as anticipated.  Those of you who are in a financial bind should contact your squadron supervision and First Sergeant right away.  Chief Buchanan and I are working diligently with your command teams to ensure you and your families are being taken care of.

Thank you for your patience, professionalism, and resilience as we all do our part to battle COVID-19.

I’m proud of every one of you.  Stay in touch with your teammates, take care of your families, and stay healthy!

Forge and Fight!
