Balloons, cakes, cookies and banners decked the hall of the 944th Services Flight June 7 in celebration of two Airmen who are both expecting mothers.

The baby showers, hosted by fellow Airmen, were a brief break in rigorous training with a little revelry, which included all the normal fare and well-wishing for expecting mothers Staff Sgt. Keisha Mason and Senior Airman Jessica Piech.

Each Airman was near the end of their pregnancy term, too.

Airman Piech said she is expecting in four days, which could place her important day in the middle of an annual training week. Sergeant Mason said she had a little more time, with the labors of her nine months with child expected to culminate July 26.

As the 23 Airmen in the 944th Services Flight wrapped up the baby shower, it was back to military training and drill as chemical warfare gear was brought out and the cakes, balloons and cookies were stowed in bellies.
