Sergeant Christopher Buscaglio, 944th Fighter Wing Security Forces, has been named the recipient of the 2011 Graydon Williams Award.

The award is presented annually by the Tempe Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee to a member of the 944th Fighter Wing who personifies the
character and traits of the late Technical Sgt. Graydon Williams, a 944th Fighter Wing Maintenance air reserve technician who died of cancer at a young age.

The award recognizes full time enlisted airmen and is based on superior performers who do not seek recognition, perform clearly above expectations,
and deserve to be recognized for their overall contributions and impact to the wing.

Sergeant Buscaglio will receive the award during a luncheon at Club Five Six on February 16th.

Through this award, the 944th Fighter Wing honors the memory of Tech. Sgt. Graydon Williams, who passed away Nov. 18, 1995. Williams, a Vietnam
veteran, joined the 944th Fighter Wing in 1987 as an air reserve technician and was the crew chief for aircraft 86-291, the 302nd Fighter Squadron
flagship. He served his country with great honor for more than 20 years.
