Holiday Message

It is amazing that we are in the midst of the Holiday Season again. Before the year completely disappears I want to take some time to thank each and every one of you for serving our nation. As Citizen Airmen our role is a little different from our active duty counterparts. I would even say our job is more challenging. We not only serve in the greatest Air Force in the world but we also maintain full-time jobs in the civilian workforce. Balancing the Air Force, our civilian employers and our most important supporters, our family, is never easy but I'm proud to say that I think we do a pretty good job here at the 944th.

This is the time of year when we get to spend quality time with family and friends, and I encourage you to take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the season. However, remember to be a good Wingman and look out for your fellow Airmen, friends, and family and keep in mind that "Safety never takes a holiday." It's easy to become so wrapped up in our own lives that we forget about those who we work with, especially those without a spouse or children at home. Likewise, it's easy to forget about our deployed Airmen and those they had to leave behind. As we enjoy this holiday season, let's remember that our family extends far beyond those who live in our homes.

I truly appreciate your dedication and the sacrifices your families and employers make in support of your service. I wish you and your families a safe, joyous Holiday Season and a Happy New Year.
