Judith Patton, commander, 944th Medical Squadron, Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. receives a personal "thank you" from Edward Jones, performance director, Air Force Entertainment, during the Tops in Blue visit to Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. June 4. As the squadron commander, Patton supported her Airman, Senior Airman Joleen Dedmon as she sought to join the 2012 Tops in Blue Tour after the dental assistant won a vocalist position with the Air Force's premiere entertainment showcase. "We like to come out to individual units whenever possible," said Jones. "It's important that we thank the commanders and the teammates who support our performers because we know there is a sacrifice here at home station. We know there is still work to be done and allowing the member to tour with us doesn't send the work away with them. There's still a job to do and we appreciate your support in taking up that extra work load here at home." Tops in Blue is scheduled to perform tonight at Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Ariz. at 7 p.m., admission is free and seating is first come first serve.
