"With her undergraduate degree in criminal justice and psychology, a masters in educational leadership and a plethora of praises in her duties as security forces operations officer, flight commander, and section commander, Lt. Col. Evans will be a valuable asset to this unit," Tofil told the formation of SFS members during the ceremony.

"I heard a lot of good things about you all before I even considered this as a possible assignment," said Evans. "Being the eternal pessimist I reserved my judgment until I could see for myself. It only took a few minutes during my first visit here to realize that everything I heard was true."

"The knowledge, professionalism, pride and diversity of civilian experience are truly impressive and I am honored to be invited into your ranks," continued Evans.

The 944th SFS is tasked to develop, implement and complete state-of-the-art training and mobility preparedness ensuring that the unit is ready at a moment's notice to support worldwide contingencies.
