Col. Brian Cusson, 924th Fighter Group incoming commander, assumes command of the group from Col. Bryan Cook, 944th Fighter Wing commander, during a ceremony, April 7, 2018. Cusson was previously the commander of the 47th Fighter Squadron, responsible for conducting training initial A-10 pilot qualification, transition, and instructor qualifications for the A-10 Thunderbolt II. Cusson now holds the responsibility of not only producing qualified A-10 Thunderbolt II pilots but taking care of the 28 aircraft and the maintainers that ensure the unit is ready to meet the needs of the Air Force at home and abroad. DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, ARIZ. -- Col. Brian Cusson, 924th Fighter Group incoming commander, assumes command of the group from Col. Bryan Cook, 944th Fighter Wing commander, during a ceremony, April 7, 2018. Cusson was previously the commander of the 47th Fighter Squadron, responsible for conducting training initial A-10 pilot qualification, transition, and instructor qualifications for the A-10 Thunderbolt II.
