The 944th Fighter Wing Public Affairs is tasked with keeping the base, the public and the news media informed about the 944th Fighter Wing. It manages the command information, community relations and media relations programs for the Wing.
The most visible products of the command information program are available on the 944th Fighter Wing Website and the 944th Fighter Wing Facebook page. Public affairs also work closely with the local news to report 944th Fighter Wing related news articles.
The community relations program engages citizens in the surrounding Phoenix area - bridging between military leaders and residents of communities surrounding Luke Air Force Base on matters pertaining to the 944th Fighter Wing. A primary responsibility of the community relations program is providing tours of the base to civic organizations, potential recruits for the Air Force and reunion groups.
Public affairs' customer service element is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The public affairs staff can be reached during normal duty hours at 623-856-5388.
