944th Fighter Wing second annual Career Day

Students with the Valley Christian Academy visit Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., during their fall break Dec. 30, 2008. During their tour, the students toured the fire department and got to see an F-16 up close as part of the 944th Fighter Wing's second annual Career Day. Other demonstrations were provided by the 56th Security Forces Squadron and the 56th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight. Lt. Col. (ret.) Robert Ashby, an Original Tuskegee Airman, was also in attendance to discuss his experiences of desegregating the Air Force during World War II.
