A tearful farewell
Col. Derek Rydholm, 944th Fighter Wing commander, listens as Lt. Col. Donald Lindberg, 302nd Fighter Squadron commander, symbolically relinquishes command of the squadron during a transfer ceremony March 10, 2007. The 302nd Fighter Squadron will become the first and only reserve associate F-22 squadron. The tradition, started by the Tuskegee Airmen in 1942, will live on as the squadron takes on the mission of flying the newest and greatest fighter aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Susan Stout)
